Pumpkin cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting 

These yummy pumpkin cinnamon rolls are fun twist on traditional cinnamon rolls recipe, and also have perfect fall flavour. With cream cheese frosting this is amazing right?

This is perfectly moist, stuffed full of pumpkin purée and cinnamon spice. It’s great for sweet breakfast or dessert. Let start to make this recipe 😊👌🏼.

For the roll:

  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin purée
  • 1 tbsp yeast
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 1/2 cups plain flour
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

For the filling:

  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin purée
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp all spice

For cream cheese frosting:

  • 3 oz cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tbsp whole milk

Instructions:

  1. To make the dough; in a small bowl dissolved the yeast in warm milk for about 5 to 10 minutes until the yeast completely bloom.
  2. Then add the pumpkin purée, butter,sugar,salt , eggs, flour, nutmeg and cinnamon mix well until completely incorporated.
  3. Using the stand mixer knead the mixture around 5 minutes until form  a dough smooth and elastic, then spray the side of the bowl and cover with plastic wrap and cover with damp towel. Let the dough proof for about 45 minutes until dough rise it’s double size.
  4. Then lightly floured the work surface and roll the dough into rectangle and about 1/4 inch thick and 16×22. Then pre heat the oven at 400 F.
  5. Brush the dough with butter, covering completely and set aside.
  6. To make the filling; combine all ingredients under filling mix well until incorporated, then spread evenly to the dough surface covering completely.
  7. Roll the dough from top edge to butom edge( the length is about 22 inches) gently cut the dough into 1 inch slices and place them in the cupcake tray lined with cupcake liners 
  8. Bake for 16 minutes.
  9. To make the cream cheese frosting; combine all ingredients under the frosting using hand mixer beat the mixture until creamy and fluffy.
  10. After done baking remove from the oven let cool completely before applying the frosting. Hope you give a try for this recipe 😊👌🏼🙏.
